In the discharge of HIS duties, HE is assisted by Chithraguptha the court recorder , Witnesses Twelve Sravana Gandharvas, Dharmadwaja the gate keeper , Mruthyu Devatha Goddess of Finality the one who transports Jeevi , and Yama Kinkaras Jangama Vichithra et al underlings of Mruthyudevatha . Every Jeevi irrespective whether one led a righteous life or not must confront Yama in HIS court of Justice and based upon the information provided by all HIS aforesaid assistants and also omniscient Yama Himself the fate of Jeevi is decided as follows 1. Righteous ones are received by Yama with all due respect befitting their conduct of life on Earth and led with honor to upper worlds - Swarg lok of Indra, Maha lok of saints, Jana lok pithru devatha, Thapo lok of Rushis, Sathya lok of Brahma, Vainkhuntta lok of Vishnu , Kailas lok of Siva, Mani dweep of Shakthi which is absolute liberation Moksha being one with Supreme Reality. 2. Jeevis whose conduct of life is neitehr so good nor so bad are advised and counselled by Yama to lead a better life next time and under the supervision of Siva are reborn upon Earth. 3. The sinners are judged accordingly and are awarded due rehabilitation treatment in Bhuvar lok that is Naraka Lok of Yama Dharma Raja. Yama appears benevolent to righteous ones who are happy and blessed to be in the company of Celestials , Saints , Sages , MahAthmas and ParaBrahman ITSELF. To others awaiting due punishment Yama seems as fearsome one.
