Jeevi becomes aware of impending death but can not communicate; 2. Jeevi aware of previous births and missed opportunities to attain liberation; 3. Aathma leaves Jeevi , looks at body and is confused having lost an attachment and surprised at the crying of family; 4. Aathma tries to enter Jeevi thrice but fails , takes pity on family and tries to stick around but taken for a quick tour of Yama lokam and brought back , round trip over with in a time span of about Two and half hours; 5. Aathma follows Jeevi to crematorium and feels sad that the body is consumed by fire , ashes scattered around into space , air , earth , and waters; 6. Aathma follows the family back to Jeevi's place of demise and hovers at threshold for the next twelve days closely observing all the Vedic rituals ( Sraaddha ) and feels satisfied with sincerity of family; 7. From thirteenth day on wards JeevAathama takes upon the size of A Thumb ( Angushtta Pramaanam ) and begins one year long journey of nearly 900,000 miles at the rate of about 2,500 miles per day and makes monthly stops , 12 stops along the way and partakes of monthly offerings of family members down upon Earth. All along the way Thumb size JeevAathma is accompanied by Yama Kinkaras (assistants) and Mruthyu devatha ( Goddess ).
