Yama Dharma Raaja

Yama is Samyamini, meaning absolutely impartial and HE defers only to The Authority of Lord Siva as manifest in the case of Maarkandeya and HE is a very generous host to those highly deserving as in the case of Nachiketha. In HIS task HE is assisted by Chithraguptha Gandharva and 12 witnesses Sravana Gandharvas. Yama Dharma RAja traces HIS origins to Brahma - Mareechi - Kashyapa - Soorya - Yama.
