AATHREYA - KALPA = SRUSHTTI = CREATION

The following is compiled from various Telugu ( my mother tongue )
Panchaangams , the original source for all of them being PuraaNas like
Brahmaanda Puraanam , Vishnu Piraanam , Brahma Puraanam etc. All this
Knowledge is embedded in Vedas , deciphered by Vedic Rishis and edited by
Veda Vyaasa , son of Paraashar , grand son Vashishtta and father of Suka.
This knowledge is passed on to all of us through Vyasa’s sishya Sootha
Mahaa Muni . Here it goes thus : -

The present creation is presided over by First Brahma ( Aadya Brahma ) .
Brahma’s age is beyond human comprehension ( atleast mine ) which runs
into billions of human years . But what is known is Our Brahma just crossed
mid point of His expected Life span and is in the first day of first month
of first year of His second half ( dwitheeya paraarddha ).

Each creation goes through various Kalpas – Brahmaanda Kalpam , Jala
Kalpam , Viraat Kalpam , Padma Kalpam , Brahma Kalpam and Paartthiva
Kalpam . Each Kalpam runs into millions of human years.

The present Kalpam is known as Swetha Varaaha ( white boar ) Kalpam .
The length of Swetha Varaaha Kalpam is 1,000 Mahaa Yugas .
One Mahaa Yug = 4,320,000 human years,comprising of 4 Yugas -
Kritha ( Sathya ) Yug = 1,728,000 human years
Thretha Yug = 1,296.000 human years
Dwaapara Yug = 864,000 human years
Kali Yuga = 432,000 human years

Our Swetha Varaaha Kalpa (1000 Mahaa Yugs ) is governed by 14 Manus ,
Each Manu holding sway over a period of 71 Mahaa Yugas. So far 6 Manus
(= 426 Mahaa Yugs) have completed their rule – they are :
1.Swayambhoo ,2.Swaarochisha , 3.Swaarotthama , 4.Thaamasa , 5.Raivatha and 6.Chaakshusha Manus. . We are now governed by 7 th Manu – Vaivaswatha Manu ;

Our Manu , Vaivaswatha is so named since He is the son of Vivaswanth ( Sun God ).
Vaivaswatha Manu has completed 27 Mahaa Yuga out of his allotted 71 Mahaa Yugas.
So far in Swetha Varaaha Kalpam 426 + 27 = 453 Mahaa Yugas are over making up
a total of 1,956,960,000 human years since the beginning of our Srusshtti ( Creation )
Coming back to our Vaivaswatha Manu , He is now in His 28 th Kali Yug out of which
5 , 109 human years are over leaving a balance of 426,891 years to go before 29 th Mahaa Yug starts . Sarve Janaah Sukhino Bhavanthu .
